Abstract

A readout interface is designed for the Hall-effect sensor with the capability to process DC and high-frequency signals while rejecting the offset. The 4-way current spinning technique is used for the increased offset modulation. A notch filter instead of a low pass filter eliminates the modulated Hall-effect offset. This implemented filtering preserves the high-frequency components of the Hall-effect voltage, resulting in an extended bandwidth of the readout interface greater than 10 MHz. This provides the interface with the capability to detect DC as well as high-frequency currents.
